I couldn't imagine a better stay. I was there with my two middle school aged kids for nine nights, a long trip for us and our first one without my spouse. We were there to sightsee, and I was keynoting a professional conference. So business and pleasure. We had more than enough space, and everyone at the hotel was so nice and helpful. The wifi and elevator ran smoothly, and we loved the extra amenities in the bathroom -- nice shampoo, conditioner, etc, plus extra wrapped toothbrushes and combs if you left yours at home. It was my first time anywhere in Asia, and my kids' first time ever out of the US, so it was great to have a home base that felt homey. It was nice and quiet in the area; the AC worked well; and we were within close proximity to a Lawson konbini to run out for little treats. It was also in terrific proximity to Yoyogi Park and a very short bus ride (#51) or 20 minute walk up to the conference venue at the National Olympic Youth Memorial area. It was also half a mile from Shinjuku Station and even closer to Yoyogi-koen (which was a lot less busy, and our preference). It's also really close to the Donki (discount trinket shop) and Cat Cafe MoCHA Shinjuku (where we spent entirely too much time when the kids needed some downtime after the busy-ness of the day). Plenty of eateries in the area also, but I couldn't get enough of the konbini egg sandwiches! The beds were Western-style and extremely comfy. There was a lot of different lighting in the room, so it was easy for some people to sleep while others stayed awake without a conflict. So grateful to the staff at Shibuya Creston Hotel for making our stay so wonderful. We're already talking about what we want to do when we go back to Tokyo, but no question where we will stay again. I'm an leg amputee, so often I find accessibility issues with places I stay (and just try to do my best). I was delighted that there was a grab bar in the shower and a pull down faucet.

The place is retro, so like 80's. Think brown laminate and the hotel stereo under the bedside table. But its immaculate and all working. The rooms have everything but are very small unless you book a twin! The staff are absolutely lovely, in fact from the momen we arrived they were just so warm and went out of their way for us. They were way nicer and more helpful than any other place we stayed on our trip in Japan and frankly I think they have the award for best staff anywhere I have ever been. That includes the cleaners. Each of us mentioned we had noticed this at various times so it wasn't just me. They even heated up our Uber Eats for us at reception. There are fantastic bars right outside and around the corner and its a short walk from the scramble crossing. You can't beat that for location! There is also a fabulous Italian coffee shop only a minutes walk away which opened early, always had seats AND proper coffee! When you have been to Tokyo you will understand how much this means to you!

Perfect location; quick walk to the shopping areas, various subway entrances, some laundromats, and Yoyogi Park, but also far enough away from the hustle and bustle that the hotel stay itself was nice and quiet in the evening. Interactions with the staff were always very pleasant; we felt welcome every time we entered the lobby and the cleaning staff is thorough and consistent. We also opted for breakfast every morning, which was great quality between both options provided (Western or Japanese); filling, but light enough to get us ready for the day. Our room itself was pretty compact, however it was still just the right size for me and my husband, and to be able to separately access both our large suitcases with no hassle.

Alexandra

The room was big and roomy compared to other hotel rooms we have stayed at. We were able to fit 3 large suitcases and still have walk room. The staff were exceptional. They were cordial, respectful and went beyond the call of duty. They made sure our stay was comfortable and helped us with all communications with reservations, taxi, etc... because of language barrier. The hotel was close to Shibuya crossing. Everything was about an 8 minutes walk. We walked to restaurants and shopping. The farthest we have walked was shopping for 12 minutes.

The Shibuya Creston Hotel is an absolute hidden gem of a place to stay. It's very close to everything you could want to see and do in Shibuya, but just far enough away to be extremely quiet. I ate breakfast at Restaurant Nigoume in the hotel two days - the Western-style breakfast one day, and the Japanese-style breakfast another. Both were excellent. The staff was beyond friendly, and very accommodating to my non-Japanese-speaking self. I would definitely stay there again.
